Located just a short drive from Edinburgh city centre, this 25 acre paintball venue offers a range of exciting woodland game zones where you will play approximately 4-5 marshalled games on a half-day paintball session. The fun and challenging game zones is made up of woodland, meadows and fields and gives players a range of terrain in which to battle against opposing teams.

This superb centre offers miles of quad bike trails through acres of attractive countryside. Open fields, woodland areas, water, mud and more, you’ll get a mix of challenging terrain and full throttle excitement all on this superb activity, suitable for both the guys and the girls!

You’ll receive a full safety briefing and instruction on arrival, before you jump onto one the quads to trek through the countryside. You experience steep inclines, mud (plenty if it’s been raining!), water, woodland terrain and open fields where you can ride full throttle for that real adrenalin rush. It’s a great, challenging activity and is sure to give you and your mates plenty to talk and laugh about over a beer (or cocktail) later in the day!

The Mini Highland Games is a popular event with both stag and hen groups and lasts about 2½ hours. You’ll experience some old and not so old classics that may inject a bit of competitive spirit, but certainly lots of laughs on your day.

Mini Highland Games events include:

CABER TOSSING
Skill and strength are needed to throw the caber (a tree trunk) for it to land correctly. Cabers of various sizes and weights would be available.

HAGGIS HURLING
Bred and raised in our Haggarium, these upwardly mobile creatures are perfect for throwing.

ARCHERY
In search of Robin Hood! Using the finest of equipment and with expert tuition on hand, team members attempt to amass the highest possible score.

FLY CASTING
Introducing the most skilled art of casting a fishing fly at targets. Tuition is at hand with points awarded for accuracy and technique.

TARGET GOLF
A test of golfing accuracy: pitching or putting from various distances at flags encircled within a score zone. Next stop, St Andrews!

SHOT PUTT
Trying to throw steel balls of various weights into the scoring zones.

THE WHISKY CHALLENGE
This is a test of accuracy. The last person standing wins the bottle!

BAGPIPE PLAYING
This ancient instrument has been played for years. Now you have the chance to make and marvel at its unmistakeable sound . . . or do you?

WELLY HURLING
This event is not quite so old, but skill is still needed to hurl the welly boot to the target zone. (Remember to keep upwind!)

Minimum group size: 12 persons

Participants use high quality bows and arrows. The archery activity lasts for approximately 1 ½ hours. Participants have a practice session to develop technique, followed by an archery competition, taking part either individually or in teams. 

The archery instructors are experienced at working with complete beginners, as well as who may have already tried the sport before. Find out who amongst you is the real Robin Hood!
